This will be the last post before Yumestate Anime will officially be put on archive mode. It has been a great 2 years of blogging on anime, and I’ve met a lot of intelligent and creative people through this website. Thank you to those that supported Yumestate, whether it was through reading, clicking on links, chatting, leaving a comment, or simply just stopping by.

It truly has been a pleasure working with the authors that have contributed to Yumestate Anime. You know who you are, and I’m really happy the website had a good run.

Once again, thank you for your support over the years, and this will definitely go down as a success in my books.

I don’t have any pictures, so here’s a video that I made from Utawarerumono OVA.

At the moment, the website is currently maintained by myself (UltimaniumX) and updated on a very irregular basis. It has come to a point where I no longer have the time and commitment to contribute or add much of anything to Yumestate.

Here are some announcements regarding the future direction of

Greetings readers,

Awhile ago, there was a point where things just weren’t going my way in regards to free time and how much I could devote to the website. Finally with the state of my life circumstances slowing down, I find myself watching anime to pass time. While I won’t be posting every day, or even every week for that matter, I want to at least get back into writing. I’ve taken a look from a broader perspective on anime blogging and feel that there’s already many that do the “anime review” spectrum. Instead, though I will still be blogging and reviewing, I plan to take things easy.

What this means is that I will try my best to follow a regular schedule of watching anime, and then writing my thoughts on the anime in general. Rather than do the full-blown anime review with a score/rating at the end, I plan to just talk about what the anime means to me at my current stage in life. With a more personal overview and opinion, I feel that this may attract viewers to see what I see in an anime, even if it’s something they may not enjoy watching. I welcome you all with open arms into my state of mind, and thoroughly hope you enjoy reading from the perspective of myself.

Here’s a list of anime I’ve been watching or have watched recently:

I’m going to go ahead and announce this nice and early to see if that will be helpful for people to find and download anime episodes in time for everyone to watch them before the club’s first post in June. For this upcoming month, we will be watching everyone’s favorite spirit-possession-themed figure skating romcom, Ginban Kaleidoscope!

May Day! The new month has arrived, and it’s time to watch another show for our Anime Watchers Club. The power of general consensus has awarded us with a 12-episode horror anime titled Ookami Kakushi (translates to either “Wolfed Away” or “Spirited Away by the Wolf”). Our first discussion will be on episodes 1-4, once a post is put up on Sunday, May 6th.

The YumeState Anime Watchers Club is a feature of this site where each month we watch and discuss a few episodes of a specific anime on a weekly basis. April’s anime was Aoi Bungaku (Blue Literature), which turned out to be quite a fascinating series, and a great show to start the club off with. If you’re interested in viewing the posts or contributing to the discussions, click here for episodes 1-4, here for 5-8, and here for 9-12.

For the month of May, you get to help decide what anime we will watch! If you look at the poll in the left sidebar, you will find three unique options: Someday’s Dreamers, Ginban Kaleidoscope, and Ookami Kakushi.

Announcing the YumeState Anime Watchers Club! The premise is pretty simple. Each month we’ll have an anime picked out to watch, and everyone who wants to participate will watch that show… and then discuss it with us in our weekly anime watchers posts! In general, we will pick anime that are completed, short enough to finish in a month, and are a bit less watched than the really popular anime out there. If a show ran for two seasons, then we’ll probably watch about 6 episodes of the show each week; if the show ran for one season, then we’ll watch around 3 episodes per week. And every week on some pre-established day, a new post will come up with our thoughts on that week’s episodes. That’s your chance to leave your comments as well–just be sure to move along at the same schedule as the rest of us! (Or if you do go on ahead to watch the show more quickly, just be sure to not post any spoilers.)
